Maj. L. Anderson, 88, of Washington, an original Tuskegee Airman, hold his Congressional Gold Medal after being presented with the medal in a ceremony at the African American Civil War Museum in Washington, Monday Nov. 11, 2013. Two of the original Tuskegee Airmen joined District of Columbia leaders for a Veterans Day wreath-laying ceremony. Washington residents William Fauntroy Jr. and Anderson were honored. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton, D-D.C. presented Anderson with the Tuskegee Airmen's Congressional Gold Medal.
