Louis Zacherle, wearing No. 17, urges his horse Party Boy through the Okanogan River during the finals of the World Famous Suicide Race at the Omak Stampede on a Sunday afternoon in Omak. No horses or riders were reported injured in the annual event, which includes a race 225 feet down a sandy bluff, cross the river and race 500 yards to the finish line in the Stampede rodeo arena for all participants.
