Villagers stand by their homes as mud washes down a stream in Minxian, northern China's Gansu province on May 11, 2012. Hail and rain in northwest China have killed 19 people and left 45 missing, as the official Xinhua News Agency reported that storms disrupted power and communications and destroyed farmland and a highway in Minxian county, as nearly 2000 people were evacuated after the storm battered the county.
