Stacia Costello, center, is one of 670 students graduating from Seattle Pacific University during an ivy cutting ceremony on Friday. More than 80 years of tradition continued at Seattle Pacific University as hundreds of graduating seniors take part in the annual Ivy Cutting ceremony. Begun as an "Ivy Planting" ceremony in 1922, this long-honored tradition involves students, families, faculty, and staff. The graduating seniors lined up around SPU's Tiffany Loop for the ceremony.
