The only surviving member of a family of seven, which has been decimated by bird flu deaths, is treated for the disease in a hospital Wednesday in Medan, Indonesia, the capital of Northern Sumatra Province. The U.N. health agency is investigating whether bird flu was passed from human-to-human among members of the Indonesian family, but said Wednesday there is no evidence the virus has mutated or spread beyond the family.
