"My kids were rewarded for good behavior on our trip home from Spokane. Woefully underdressed, they fearlessly attacked the snow mounds in a Snoqualmie Pass parking lot. Used my Canon EOS Rebel XT with 17-35 Sigma lens."
Expert says: "This week's choice has a lot of great elements. The low, upward angle gives a clean background and creates space between the child and the snow as she jumps, while the side angle allows the viewer to see the second child watching the first, bring the viewer's eye back to the main subject. The moment was perfectly stopped at peak action. I also applaud the exposure in this image; often a snowy environment can be challenging to balance without losing the texture of the snow or underexposing the subject. My only suggestion is a slightly tighter crop from the bottom and the left."
