It promised to be a once in a lifetime event, but Venus transiting the sun might best be seen in someone else's lifetime. Clouds in Seattle obscured the sun, forcing the cancelation of many viewing parties Tuesday, June 5, 2012. But, for the moments when the clouds parted the spec on the sun that was Venus was visible.
