Eye-To-Eye shark dive at Point Defiance

The zoo's sandtiger shark swims by as staff divers David Todd, left, and GiAnn Eastman, far right, flank Paul Tosch and Denise Whitaker during the media preview of the new, permanent experience called Eye-To-Eye shark dive available to the public beginning Friday. Costs, who can do what, shark cage or dive, is found at pdza.org. It's also part educational program about shark finning for shark fin soup, overfishing and pollution hurting the predator. Sharks kill about 12 humans a year. Humans kill about 38,000,000 sharks just for soup.
