Near the bottom of the western red cedar totem pols is a child and then four salmon. The Kwel Hoy' Totem Pole is on a 1,200 mile journey from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming and Montana, through the Columbia Gorge, north to Cherry Point near Bellingham and then into British Columbia. Kwel Hoy' means "we draw the line."
