Jeremy Ward, drummer for The Triple Sixes pounds the drums while they tear through Gits covers as the closing act of a tribute concert for Mia Zapata at The Comet Tavern, on Sunday, July 7th, 2013. "The Gits changed my life when I was 13," said Ward after the show ended. Growing up in Enumclaw, he found his passion for music listening to The Gits and bands in the Seattle music scene at that time. After Mia's murder, he said that the community that formed around her and created Home Alive and the benefit album in her memory, gave him his path from a teenager to an adult. He went on to volunteer with Home Alive and has been playing music ever since.
