Monroe Correctional Complex's growing theatre program

Robert Herzog, superintendent of Monroe Correctional Complex, congratulates teaching artist Daemond Arrindell after their Engaged Theatre performance at the minimum security unit of Monroe Correctional Complex April 23, 2013. "They got together a diverse group of offenders, and its a pro-social activity," said Herzog. "I'd much rather have them doing this, entertaining people, than be out in the yard."
