This is Brain Awareness Week (BAW), a national event to promote the public and personal benefits of brain research. To celebrate BAW at the University of Washington, 650 local students attended an open house. This year's event, held at the Husky Union Building, helped the students learn about the brain through hands-on stations and a lecture by Eric H. Chudler, Ph.D., a research associate professor in the UW Department of Bioengineering and executive director of the Center for Sensorimotor Neural Engineering.
