Almost thirty-four inches were added to the car's midsection, stretching it to 21-feet. The 1964 Lincoln Continental limousine modified for Pope Paul VI's New York visit also took astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Jim Lovell along ticker-tape parades in Chicago.
