Alana McGee of Seattle's Toil & Truffle digs for a truffle sniffed out by her dog Lolo in the Cascade Foothills Wednesday February 6, 2013. Lolo is a young Lagotto Romagnolo, an Italian breed that is known for truffle-hunting. Truffles harvested using dogs are gaining in popularity as it is more gentle on the environment than raking techniques, and dogs are easier companions to keep than pigs.
