MAKING HISTORY On the ferry MV Skansonia, newlyweds exchange kisses on Dec. 9, the first day gay couples could legally marry in the state.
Marriage equality day. A long time coming. I shot seven weddings that day. Most of the couples had been together for a long time and were so very happy they could finally be legally married. These four couples, two from Seattle, one from Tacoma and one from Long Beach, Calif., got married aboard the ferry on Lake Union. It rained, but that
definitely didn't put a damper on their day.
