2012 Pictures of the Year from Seattle Times photographers

FINDING THAT PERFECT FIT At the Seattle Wedding Show last January, bride-to-be Duffy Tichenor, right, and her sister, Anna, find out if Duffy can dance in this wedding dress. Duffy said the dress had to be "romantic and fun and modern and have bling." An organza number with lace, sparkles and a train, the dress was on sale for $799. Sold!

Ultimately, the annual Seattle Wedding Show is about the bride-to-be -- an ode to joy. But before buying a dress, Duffy Tichenor wanted to test drive some with her sister. This dress, the first one she tried on, passed even the dip test.
