Children's ballet at American Dance Institute in Greenwood

Wyatt Olson, 3, looks in on his eight-year-old sister Aspen's (tallest) ballet class at American Dance Institute in Greenwood Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012. Standing next to Aspen is Nia Williamson, 7. The class, Children's Ballet I, is taught by Kelsey Hamon, who has been teaching there for about eight years. The American Dance Institute has classes for all ages, and is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the new year. The American Dance Institute will be performing during the Greenwood-Phinney Art Walk Friday, Dec. 14, from 7-9 p.m. Students of all ages will showcase styles as diverse as ballet, flamenco, hula, tap, Irish step, modern and jazz, seen from the large window of Studio 1 on Greenwood Avenue and North 80th Street.
