With 34-inches of beard to prepare, Aarne Bielefeldt of Willits, Calif, needs six-hours to get ready to compete in the the North American Beard and Moustache Championships in Bremerton, Saturday, July 7, 2012. The former world champion has won six of seven competitions this year (with one second place) including winning the German International in freestyle beard. Here, he creates six loops with special gels and curlers to keep things in place. Bielefeldt won the freestyle category Saturday.
