Mike McHenry, habitat biologist for the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe inspects one of many mammoth tree stumps, some as old as a thousand years that have reappeared from newly formed landscape as the Elwha River continues to draw down. The sediment is rinsing out of the Elwha River, creating a unique and changing landscape.
