Local ceremony remembers Japan's earthquake & tsunami

Reverend Taijo Imanaka, a monastic priest from the Koyasan Jiso Koden-sho Monastery in Mt. Koya, Japan, offers prayers before speaking to a crowd of about 200 near the Kobe Bell at Seattle Center at a ceremony to remember the one-year anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. At 2:46 p.m., the time of last year's earthquake, attendees observed a minute of silence. Then, the Reverend rang the Kobe Bell and invited speakers and members of the public to ring the bell.
