Massive Landslide Along Route 410

Rebecca Simmons removes personal belongings from her newly condemned home along SR 410 on Oct. 12, 2009 because of a massive landslide that took out the state route the day before west of Naches. Simmons' home along with her father's neighboring home was lifted at least 15 feet above where it originally was built back in 1937 by her grandfather. The two homes were about a football field away from the primary disaster area and were surprisingly intact for being raised so high.
