Cougar chase and capture

After being darted in a tree, biologist Ben Maletzke gently lays Jane down on a steep slope under a grove of trees to give the big cat a checkup and change the battery in the telemetry collar. Volunteer, Ray Ary from Oregon is at left. Maletzke precisely monitors the movements of cougars over many years bringing along students in the field to observe the work.
