Debris falls as the tunnel boring machine breaks through the east side of the hill Wednesday morning completing its 4,300 foot trip to bore the second of two tunnels through the hill. The cutterhead is 21-foot in diameter. Equipped with various cutting tools, the cutterhead turns around at the rate of 0.1 to 2.5 revolutions per minute.
