Joan Miró's "Femme, oiseau, etoile (Homenatage a Picasso)," "Woman, Bird and Star (Homage to Picasso)," an 8-foot-tall oil on canvas merges with beret-wearing viewer, Hugo Ludeña, during a preview Tuesday at the Seattle Art Museum. The 50-piece exhibit from the Museum Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, the museum of modern and contemporary art in Spain, opens Thursday and runs through May 26. Joan Miró dedicated the painting to Pablo Picasso and it was completed on the day of Picasso's death in 1973.
