Daniel Walsh waits to turn the fire extinguisher on heavy metal creations during HazardFactory's 7th Annual Power Tool Drag Races during the Georgetown Carnival in Seattle Saturday June 9, 2012. Racers hack apart everyday tools and anything with wheels to compete for speed, and eventually, demolition. In the last several years, races have sprung up all over the world, and Rusty Oliver of HazardFactory here in Seattle, credits inspiration from racers in San Francisco. "We started copying San Francisco, and then we decided to do it better than them," said Oliver. He sent a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer encased in a metal cage to the California racers as a licensing gift and has been holding the races ever since.
