Photographer: Bill Langer, Seattle

Photo taken: Oct. 21, Boeing Field, Seattle

Photographer's description: “While roaming around the (Museum of Flight), I saw a crow perched atop a propeller blade on their shrink-wrapped B-29, adding a nice touch to an already dramatic scene. Taken with Nikon D-700, 24-70mm lens and polarizing filter.”

Expert says: “This black-and-white photo is very moody. The crow atop the propeller and the mysterious clouds create a solemn and desolate feeling at what is normally a bustling museum filled with happy children and visitors. I love this photo because of that; it wouldn’t be the same in color.”
