Puget Sound's Earth Day events stretch across a week
A roundup of 2011 Earth Day observances around Seattle and Western Washington.
Since 1970, Earth Day has been observed on April 22 as a day of environmental education and action, and many places have extended the observation to a week. Here's a roundup of Earth Day events beginning this weekend around Puget Sound.
Earth Day Plant Sale/recycling event
