Saturday

First race: 2 p.m.

1 51/2 furlongs, purse $5,100, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
2Park That Truck R Bowen3124
5Attempt I Enriquez5/2121
4Bull Whiskey R Richard2124
1Little Zippy J Zunino8121
3Mr. Leroy D Lopez7/2124

SCRATCHED: Gold Tie Please.

Park That Truck has good early speed, and this distance, a furlong less than his last start, should suit him. Attempt has been off for three months but won at this distance early in the meet. Bull Whiskey also has a decent chance.

2 51/2 furlongs, purse $17,850, 2-year-old, fillies, maiden special weight
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
5Herculette R Bowen2117
4Boss Lori L Mawing3117
1Chronologic'sghost A Sanguinetti7/2117
2National Wonder C Doll6117
3Ever Elite D Lopez5117
6Mydaddysacowboy E Kubinova9/2117

Herculette was purchased for $230,000 at a Kentucky sale in January 2013 and makes her career debut. You don’t often see horses with that pedigree at Emerald Downs. Boss Lori has run in stakes races in her first two starts. Chronologic’sghost was second in her last race.

3 6 furlongs, purse $5,900, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
4Advancement J Whitaker2124
5Stroll for Us E Kubinova5/2124
1Marvin's Magic J Gutierrez3124
2Fighting City Hall R Richard15124
3Belt I Enriquez7/2124
6Rezar G Mitchell6124

Advancement seems the most consistent but he doesn’t win a lot, so don’t bet the house. Stroll for Us is in good form. Marvin’s Magic shoots for his third straight win.

4 6 furlongs, purse $5,300, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
7Lots of Prayers I Enriquez7/2124
1Expenses Paid D Lopez3124
2Almosttoomuchfun L Mawing5/2118
3Ringo's Gold L Camacho-Flores12121
4Two Bit Game J Zunino12121
5Bound to Win N Coddington6124
6Direct Cost J Whitaker4124

Lots of Prayers will be rallying late and there is a lot of early speed, so the race should set up well for a closer. Expenses Paid rarely wins but has been second in six of his past eight starts. Almosttoomuchfun is in good form, and he has the leading jockey aboard.

5 1 mile, purse $9,300, 3-year-old, claiming $7,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Can't Get Enough L Mawing2122
3Secret Harbor J Matias3122
4Money Cat E Kubinova7/2122
2Wedgey Time I Enriquez5122
5Uptownfreddybrown J Gutierrez9/2119
6Tribal Mystic D Lopez8122

Can’t Get Enough drops in class, is in good form and should get a nice ground-saving trip from the inside post. Secret Harbor has been tough in his two starts at this level, winning and finishing second. Money Cat takes a slight jump up in class after a nice win.

6 61/2 furlongs, purse $6,400, 3-year-olds and up, Starters allowance $3,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
3War Wizard D Lopez6119
2Dancing Yodeler L Mawing3119
6Won Won Oh Five J Gutierrez7/2119
1Heza Witch Doctor J Whitaker8119
4Buddy Dave R Richard10119
5Ontheshadyside E Kubinova9/2119
7Southern Solution I Enriquez6119
8Southfork Pegasus G Mitchell5119

War Wizard will try to lead from gate to wire. Dancing Yodeler is in great form, with two wins and a second in his past three starts. Won Won Oh Five also has a decent chance in a good even race where a case could be made for every horse in the race.

7 1 mile, purse $14,800, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $20,000/$18,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Rocky's Quest R Bowen5/2124
7Assessment G Mitchell5120
4Posse Power I Enriquez5120
2Somewhere With You J Gutierrez12124
3Hard Slider L Camacho-Flores4120
5Tale Spinner D Lopez10120
6Fist Full of Green E Kubinova8124
8Songandabullet L Mawing7/2120

Rocky’s Quest has regressed this year, but he should be tough to beat at this level. Assessment, the 2009 Longacres Mile winner, finished ahead of the top pick in his last race. Posse Power has a habit of finishing second or third.

8 1 mile, purse $5,500, 3-year-olds and up, maiden claiming $5,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
4Master Game E Kubinova5124
3Dakota Firefly J Zunino5/2124
5Tiz a Classic L Mawing3124
1Something Magic C Doll12124
2Retirement R Bowen15124
6Stoneman R Richard7/2118
7Splendini I Enriquez9/2124

Master Game ran a dud as the 4-5 favorite when dropping to this level in his last race. Maybe he can rebound in a tough handicapping race. Dakota Firefly and Tiz a Classic could improve with the return to a sprint.

BEST BET: Can’t Get Enough.
