2Poly Squat J Zunino5-2119
3Montelena D Lopez6-1116
4Miss Madavor R Richard5-1116
5Lizzy Lass G Mitchell4-1119

Lady Aragorn drops in class to the level she won at two races ago, and she has had great success at this distance (four wins, two seconds and a third in eight starts). Bella Angelina has finished second 10 times in 29 career starts, including her past two races at 13-1. Poly Squat was second in her last race when running a mile for the first time.

2 6 furlongs, purse $5,700, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $3,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
3Rezar R Richard2-1124

1Our Marshal Cahill L Camacho-Flores4-1124
5Direct Cost J Whitaker6-1124
6Mr Mahal L Gonzalez12-1124
7Brudda Clyde C Doll6-1124

Rezar was claimed out of his last race, which he won when competing at the bottom claiming level here ($2,500) for the first time. He can win again. Frisco Bound is in great form and has been first or second in 10 of 14 career starts. Big Fat Storm finished second in a similar race in his last start.

3 6 furlongs, purse $8,925, 3-year-olds and up, maiden claiming weight for age $12,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
2Sthenios F Valdez4-1118

4Right Idea L Mawing5-1118
1Illegal Parking J Rosales15-1124
3Open a Tap I Enriquez9-2118

7Retirement R Richard12-1124
8Master Game G Mitchell6-1124
9Diamond Drop D Lopez12-1124
10Stretch Home J Gutierrez3-1124

Sthenios can improve with the drop in class and a better post position. Owner’s Choice takes a big drop in class and is running for a claiming price for the first time. Right Idea is also dropping in class.

4 1 mile, purse $5,700, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $3,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Honour Family E Kubinova7-2121
5Buddy Dave L Camacho-Flores5-2121
4Credit Line J Gutierrez5-1121
SCRWho's Laughing Scratched--
2Run Atom L Mawing8-1124
3Perusethenews D Lopez3-1121
6Sharp Focus R Bowen9-2121

Honour Family was a solid third behind a couple of tough horses two weeks ago in his return from a long layoff, and he had a useful 6-furlong workout on Sunday. Buddy Dave was making up ground quickly in his last race to finish fourth and might like stretching out to a mile. Credit Line has struggled this year but ran two big races at this distance last summer.

5 1 mile, purse $7,200, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $5,000/$4,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Moment of Weakness L Mawing6-1120
6Arraignment R Richard6-1120
3Ontheshadyside I Enriquez9-2120
2He's All Heart G Mitchell5-1120
SCRMarvin's Magic Scratched--
4Givajunior Mint J Zunino8-1120
5Havin a Good Day J Rosales7-2122
7Big Bad Brown E Kubinova5-2124

This is a great handicapping race where a good case can be made for nearly every horse in the field. Moment of Weakness should be ready for a big race in his third start after a long layoff, and he can save ground from his inside post position. Arraignment could improve in his second start at Emerald Downs. Ontheshadyside is in great form.

6 1 mile, purse $12,700, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $15,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
6Songandabullet D Lopez4-1120
1Posse Power I Enriquez9-5120
2Southern Solution R Richard9-2120
3Uzziah E Kubinova6-1120
4Ugottabcatty L Mawing3-1120
5Secret Harbor J Gutierrez6-1114

Songandabullet finished second three weeks ago to a horse who has won five straight. His stablemate, Posse Power, was a stakes horse at Emerald Downs in his younger days. He is still tough at this level at age 7 but he rarely wins. Southern Solution is 2 for 2 at this distance.

7 11/16 miles, purse $5,600, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $2,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
3American Council J Zunino5-1120
4Parker's Pearl D Lopez7-2120
2Suddenly Adele I Enriquez5-2117
1Appealing Artie R Richard9-2123
5Hey Lil Missy R Bowen10-1114
6Sunshine Candy J Gutierrez3-1123
7One Smart Girl L Camacho-Flores15-1120

This is a tough race as no horse in the field has run quite this far before. American Council has had some success in route races but has just one win in 26 starts, so don’t bet the house. Parker’s Pearl seems to be rounding into form. Suddenly Adele is at a manageable level after winning for the first time in her last race.

Best bet: Sthenios.
