Two runners have the chance to repeat as champions at Saturday’s Rock ’n’ Roll Seattle Marathon.

Yon Yilma, a native of Edmonds and the men’s winner of the 2013 marathon, is slated to compete again this year. So is Nuta Olaru, from Boulder, Colo., who won the 2013 women’s race. Yilma finished with a 2:29:53 time last year and Olaru ran a 2:52:40.

They are two of more than 18,000 people registered to compete in the marathon and half-marathon.

The Rock ’n’ Roll series travels to 28 cities, including international locations. This will be the sixth year the race, which features live music at each mile marker, has come to Seattle.

Both the full and half-marathons are set to begin at 7 a.m. at Seattle Center (John Street and 5th Avenue North). The finish line for both races will be on the Mercer Street/3rd Avenue North side of Seattle Center.

Male and female winners of the full marathon will receive $500 prizes, with winners in the half-marathon collecting $250 each.

The postrace awards ceremony will be at Seattle Center at 10:30 a.m., followed by a free concert. Hometown musical acts Sir Mix-A-Lot and The Presidents of the United States of America will headline.
