PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
4Ducoti J Matias3-1123
5Agoodlawyer Willdo J Gutierrez2-1119
1Better to Be Lucky I Enriquez7-2121
2Strange Luck G Mitchell4-1119
3Lady Aragorn E Kubinova6-1119

Ducoti could get an easy lead as she appears to be the only horse in the field with a lot of early speed. Agoodlawyer Willdo and Better to Be Lucky take big drops in class to try to rebound from poor efforts.

2 11/16 miles, purse $5,600, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
3Tax Enough F Valdez5-2118
2Joel N Jill J Rosales3-1115
5Gold Tie Please L Mawing2-1124
1Shuddle L Camacho-Flores7-2121
SCRExpenses Paid Scratched--
4Bird Colonel J Zunino9-2121

In another paceless race, Tax Enough could get an easy lead and is dropping in class for the leading trainer, Jeff Metz. Joel N Jill shortens up in distance after being overmatched against a much tougher group. Gold Tie Please faces winners for the first time after rallying to beat maidens in his Emerald Downs debut.

3 1 mile, purse $5,900, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $4,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
5Big Black Cat F Valdez5-2120
2Whiskey Prince I Enriquez4-1124
3Barton Hill G Mitchell6-1120
1Twentyten J Matias5-1118
4Brother Greg E Kubinova7-2120
6Epic Electorate D Lopez3-1120

Big Black Cat can take a big step forward with the drop in class. Whiskey Prince will try to lead from gate to wire. Barton Hill did well at this distance here last year.

4 61/2 furlongs, purse $5,800, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $4,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
7American Council J Zunino8-1120
3Tribal Valentine F Valdez5-1123
8Promiscuous Harbor L Camacho-Flores5-2120
1Silly Streak C Doll15-1120
2Hey Lil Missy R Bowen12-1114
4Zafari Nation G Mitchell8-1114
5Ifsowhynot R Richard10-1114
SCRHope for Sara Scratched--
6Sometimes a Lady I Enriquez3-1114
9Sunshine Candy J Gutierrez6-1123

American Council had a tough trip in her last race and should improve in a tough, even race. Tribal Valentine was gaining quickly at the end in his Emerald debut two weeks ago, losing by a half-length. Promiscuous Harbor is in good form.

5 11/16 miles, purse $9,800, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $7,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Chu and I F Valdez9-2120
2Uzziah D Lopez10-1120
3Whiskeyonthehouse J Gutierrez10-1120
4Havin a Good Day J Rosales5-2120
5Surprise Sale E Kubinova4-1122
6Direct Cost J Whitaker12-1124
7Double Shuffle R Bowen3-1120
8Big Question R Richard6-1120

Chu and I should be ready for his top effort in his third race after a layoff. Uzziah ran well at this level here last year and his trainer, Joe Toye, is off to a hot start at Emerald after arriving from Phoenix’s Turf Paradise. Whiskeyonthehouse was third, a place behind the top pick, in his last race.

6 1 mile, purse $10,300, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $12,500/$10,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Mini Candy F Valdez4-1113
3Lumen Took It R Bowen3-1119
5Lil Barbie Doodle L Mawing5-2121
2Inquiry Miss I Enriquez5-1119
4Anitewithyou G Mitchell7-2119
6Seattle Harbor L Camacho-Flores8-1113

Mini Candy is in good form and should be able to save early ground from the inside post. Lumen Took It has been in the money in eight of 10 career races. Lil Barbie Doodle is the only horse who is proven in route races, but all her success has been on the turf.

7 6 furlongs, purse $5,400, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $2,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Supreme Ballerina R Bowen4-1123
3Kilauea J Whitaker5-2123
4Snackable L Mawing2-1123
2Snuffin D Lopez7-2123
5Way to Go Lo R Richard8-1123
6Redseasalt G Mitchell10-1123
SCRGlo Bou Liza Scratched--

Supreme Ballerina has won twice at the meet and was scratched out of a race last weekend to run in this race. Kilauea has been in the money in 13 of 16 starts at Emerald, but just two of those were wins. Snackable was derailed by a bad start while being well-bet in her Emerald Downs debut two weeks ago.

Best bet: Tax Enough
