2Sweet Saga A Sanguinetti2-1123
4Penngrove J Gutierrez6-1120
5Miss Fun Run R Bowen4-1120
1Sixteen Reasons L Mawing8-1123
3Poly Squat J Zunino5-2123
6The Doll Room E Kubinova6-1120

Sweet Saga has a speed-figure adavantage and is the likely favorite but her lack of speed is a concern, so don’t bet the house. Penngrove might get the early lead in this race in which no horse has much early speed. Miss Fun Run has been in the money in all five of her starts at Emerald Downs.

2 5 furlongs, purse $5,500, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, maiden claiming $5,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
7And Stay Out I Enriquez2-1117
6Niftys Tee Time F Valdez5-1123
4Aliciasfirecracker A Sanguinetti9-2123
1Corla R Bowen8-1123
2Megan's Buddy J Rosales5-1123
3Musical Delight L Gonzalez15-1117
5You Send Me J Whitaker8-1123
8Heavenly Notion J Zunino6-1123

And Stay Out was second in her last race, but was 7¼ lengths in front of the third-place horse. Nifty’s Tee Time was no match for the winner in the last race, but was easily second-best. Aliciasfirecracker has been third in both of her races at the meet.

3 1 mile, purse $5,700, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $3,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Havin a Good Day J Rosales2-1124
2Cane Seeker L Mawing3-1124
SCRDa Ruler Scratched--
3Light My Heart I Enriquez5-2121
SCRCorner Office Scratched--
4Bid for Pride R Bowen5-1121
5Run Atom J Whitaker9-2121

Havin a Good Day could face a lot of pace pressure, but will be tough if he can get the early lead from the inside post. Cane Seeker will be rallying late, and this race should set up well for a closer.

4 51/2 furlongs, purse $5,400, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, WCL $2,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
3Pete's Glory Girl E Kubinova5-2123
5Kilauea J Whitaker9-2123
4Supreme Ballerina R Bowen3-1123
1Glo Bou Liza L Gonzalez20-1123
2Redseasalt J Gutierrez12-1123
6Cookies and Milk J Rosales10-1123
7La Pearla I Enriquez6-1123
8Have'n a Wild Time G Mitchell10-1123
9Foolish Miss J Zunino8-1123

Pete’s Glory Girl ran a great race in her yearly debut, losing by just a head to a very tough horse. This 9-year-old mare has a great shot at her 12th career victory at Emerald. Kilauea is usually in the money. Supreme Ballerina is trying for her third straight win.

5 6 furlongs, purse $11,025, 3-year-old, fillies, claiming $15,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
2Tsarina Haven L Mawing9-5121
1Nancy Wake J Gutierrez4-1121
6Polly Ester Pompom I Enriquez5-1118
3Slewbie Doo E Kubinova9-2118
4Zafari Nation F Valdez12-1118
5Mini Candy R Bowen5-2121

Tsarina Haven seems to be at the right level after winning a maiden $25,000 race last month. The horse that finished second in that race returned to win a couple of weeks ago. Nancy Wake was an impressive maiden winner in her last start. Polly Ester Pom Pom could improve with the drop in class.

6 6 furlongs, purse $14,800, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $20,000/$18,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
5Royal Moses J Matias9-5119
3Miss Communication R Bowen4-1119
1Clemens Brook J Whitaker5-2116
2Once Upon a Song E Kubinova6-1119
4Liberty Lake L Mawing5-1119
6Whiskey Miner I Enriquez6-1119

Royal Moses will be tough if she’s ready after a long layoff, and she was ready last year in her first race. Miss Communication should improve with the drop in class. Clemens Brook steps up in class, but she might be up to the task. She has seven wins and five seconds in 18 career starts at Emerald.

7 6 furlongs, purse $5,800, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $4,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
5Athina Lee D Lopez4-1120
4Sheza Silver Moon F Valdez7-2120
6Promiscuous Harbor I Enriquez9-2120
1Margiesdanzindots J Samuels15-1120
2Parker's Prospect G Mitchell15-1114
3Claudia's Cahill L Mawing6-1123
SCRAppealing Artie Scratched--
7Hope for Sara E Kubinova5-1117
8Nobluffjustgo R Bowen3-1123

This is a very even race. Athina Lee should take a step forward with the drop in class. Sheza Silver Moon has worked out well for her yearly debut. Promiscuous Harbor also has a good chance.

Best bet: Pete’s Glory Girl
