Saturday

First race: 2 p.m.

1 6 furlongs, purse $6,725, 3-year-old, fillies, maiden claiming weight for age $7,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
5Seadrifter I Enriquez2121
3Make Some Noise R Richard3121
6Crush On You E Kubinova5/2121
1Dawnofchesterhouse D Lopez15121
2Chrissy's Wedding J Matias6121
4Pacific Dream F Valdez5121

SCRATCHED: Oh Glorious Day.

Seadrifter takes a big drop in class. Make Some Noise was a solid fourth, just 1½ lengths behind the winner in his career debut two weeks ago. The third-place horse in that race won last weekend. Crushing On You beat the second pick in that race two weeks ago, losing by a neck after closing strongly in the stretch.

2 6 furlongs, purse $7,200, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $5,000/$4,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
6Cha Cha Latte R Bowen9/5119
2Montelena R Richard5/2119
4Touch of Elegance J Matias7/2119
1Lizzy Lass G Mitchell12119
3La Pearla I Enriquez5116
5Bella Angelina J Whitaker9/2119

If the track is fast, Cha Cha Latte has a great chance to win her third straight race of the meet, but has never run on a wet track. So, if the track is wet, move Lizzy Lass into the top spot. She does her best racing on a sloppy track, a surface on which she won her final two starts at Emerald in 2013. In either event, the second and third picks are Montelena, who has won her first two starts of the meet, followed by Touch of Elegance, who has been in the money in 24 of 32 starts at Emerald.

3 6 furlongs, purse $5,700, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $3,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
2Advancement J Whitaker10124
6He's All Heart I Enriquez6124
5War Wizard D Lopez3124
1He's a Goblin J Gutierrez9/2124
3Mr. Top Kat L Camacho-Flores2124
4Hip Hop City R Richard7/2124

SCRATCHED: Atta Boy Lucky.

In a race with a ton of early speed, it might be a horse who comes from off the pace that wins, and it seems like Advancement could do that for jockey Jennifer Whitaker, who is overdue for some wins. He’s All Heart was doomed with a poor start in his last race and it’s a good sign that Enriquez keeps the mount. War Wizard was claimed for this price out of his last race, when he disappointed as the 6-5 favorite. He is now in the barn of Emerald’s all-time leading trainer, Tim McCanna.

4 6 furlongs, purse $17,850, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, maiden special weight
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
5Timeless Pleasure L Mawing9/2117
4Just a Love J Gutierrez5117
7Wedding Kake J Whitaker3117
1Ee Da How L Camacho-Flores15123
2Red Ran Back G Mitchell6117
3Quiet Wisdom R Bowen6117
6River Call D Lopez15123
8Sanibel Harbor I Enriquez5/2117

Timeless Pleasure was a $150,000 yearling purchase, but hasn’t done a lot in two career starts. Just a Love had a great 6-furlong workout last week in preparation for her career debut. Wedding Kake finished ahead of the top pick in her career debut a month ago.

5 51/2 furlongs, purse $5,400, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
4Jerry's Fever R Bowen5/2124
1Fighting City Hall R Richard8124
8Kinzie's King L Mawing4124
2Mo's Flashy Date I Enriquez2124
3Boundtogetbusy E Kubinova6124
5Royal Shrine D Lopez20124
6Harbor Wind J Whitaker8124
7Only Be Cause L Gonzalez15124

Jerry’s Fever has burned a lot of money, losing twice as a big favorite. He will likely be favored again. Fighting City Hall has been first or second in six career starts at Emerald. Kinzie’s King was second in a similar race two weeks ago.

6 6 furlongs, purse $10,300, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, WCL $12,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
5Inquiry Miss F Valdez4120
7Ms P K Blue I Enriquez2123
3Starlight Gem L Mawing3120
1Point Da Harbor E Kubinova12117
2Sweet Jenny J Zunino8120
4Lumen Took It J Gutierrez8120
6Music and Me R Bowen7/2123

Inquiry Miss won her first two races last year after a long layoff, and now makes her first start this year. Ms P K Blue won a similar race three weeks ago. Starlight Gem has good early speed.

7 6 furlongs, purse $10,500, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $10,000/$8,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
4Camp Granada I Enriquez2120
5Bleu Tarp E Kubinova5120
2Storming Kentucky R Bowen3120
1Ugottabcatty L Mawing10120
3Memphis Mobster D Lopez7/2120
6Leadership J Matias8120
7Surfliner R Richard15120

SCRATCHED: Come Away Home.

This is a very good race for this level. Camp Granada takes a big drop in class after losing the lead late last month. Bleu Tarp should be tough if ready after a long layoff. Storming Kentucky takes a small step up in class after a nice win.

8 51/2 furlongs, purse $18,900, 3-year-old, fillies, AOC $25,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Lotta Attitude J Gutierrez9/5121
2Belladiva R Richard4117
6Charismata L Mawing9/2117
3Lexie Arleen F Valdez6119
4Knight Club A Sanguinetti6121
5Sunpenny I Enriquez5117
7K K's Wonderwoman D Lopez8117

Lotta Attitude tries winners for the first time after dominating maidens last month. Belladiva lost by three-quarters of a length in a very good effort three weeks ago. Charismata has finished in the money in all three of her career starts.

9 6 furlongs, purse $5,500, 3-year-olds and up, maiden claiming $5,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
7Splendini D Lopez8/5124
6Medicinegoin'down L Mawing9/5118
1Nacho Macho J Matias7/2118
2Onetimeforolmark J Zunino12118
3The Stolen Way L Gonzalez15124
4Plan A R Richard15118
5Everydayimhustlin J Whitaker15124

Splendini can win this if he likes the real dirt at Emerald after running on the synthetic surface at Golden Gate in Northern California. Medincinegoin’down was a well-beaten second as the 1-2 favorite three weeks ago. Nacho Macho can complete the trifecta.

BEST BET: Lotta Attitude.
