First three horses listed in each race in order of predicted finish.

Saturday

First race: 1 p.m.

1 51/2 furlongs, purse $7,450, 3-year-old, fillies, claiming $7,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
3Miss Fast Eddie R Bowen5/2121
2Mz Dyno L Mawing7/2118
5Tricky Person E Kubinova2118
1Alta's Forever L Camacho-Flores5118
4Reflective Glory A Sanguinetti3121

Miss Fast Eddie can roll by the early-speed horses in the stretch. Mz Dyno finished right behind the top pick in her last race. Tricky Person crushed maidens in December and could win this race with a repeat performance.

2 5 furlongs, purse $5,800, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $4,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
5Wind a Flyin J Rosales7/2120
2Promiscuous Harbor I Enriquez8/5120
6Appealing Artie R Richard3123
1Parker's Prospect G Mitchell8114
3Hollywood Holly A Sanguinetti10120
4Milieux F Valdez5120

This is a tough race to handicap. There should be quite a fight for the early lead, so maybe Wind a Flyin will take back early, then rally late like she did in her career debut last year. Promiscuous Harbor will be tough if she’s ready coming off a long layoff. Appealing Artie was a suprise winner a couple of weeks ago, and a repeat effort would put her in the hunt at the end.

3 5 furlongs, purse $6,725, 3-year-old, maiden claiming $7,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
5The Bainster I Enriquez7/5122
4Alaazwho R Richard7/2122
3Our Sella A Sanguinetti4122
1Onetimeforolmark J Zunino15122
2Regazze Cat L Mawing10122
6Sorry Pal R Bowen10122
7Debauch L Camacho-Flores9/2122

The Bainster was second as the 9-10 favorite last month and will likely be heavily favored again. Alaazwho has been working out well for his debut, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he won. Our Sella has some early speed and can hang on for third.

4 61/2 furlongs, purse $5,700, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $3,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
2Ms Eagle Eye I Enriquez9/2123
5Seattle Game R Bowen9/5123
4Grand Baylee E Kubinova3/1123
1Port Wakefield J Whitaker6123
3Montelena R Richard5/2123

SCRATCHED: Gotaminute

Ms Eagle Eye scratched out of a race Friday to run in this one and she won her first race of the season last year, so she should be ready off a long layoff. Seattle Game returns six days after winning her 13th career race at Emerald, and with a new style, coming from off the pace. Grand Baylee also has had great success at Emerald.

5 61/2 furlongs, purse $5,400, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
4Sharp Focus J Gutierrez5/2124
7Vegas Burn R Bowen8/5124
6Immigration J Whitaker6124
1Wild Hoss J Zunino10124
2Flying Jack P Fernandez20124
3High Silence L Camacho-Flores15124
5Showmethemoneyjim R Richard7/2124

Sharp Focus didn’t seem to like the sloppy surface in his last race. Expect a much better performance if the track is fast Saturday. Vegas Burn looks for his third win of the meet, which began just three weeks ago. Immigration doesn’t win much, but the 10-year-old can still be competitive against this group.

6 51/2 furlongs, purse $11,025, 3-year-old, claiming $15,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Moony Moony I Enriquez2119
6Doc Duffy F Valdez5/2119
4Wedgey Time J Gutierrez3122
2Air Grinder L Camacho-Flores12119
3Charlie's Gold L Mawing7/2122
5Twentyten R Richard10119

Moony Moony and Doc Duffy drop in class after poor efforts. Expect much better Saturday. Wedgey Time (like Charlie’s Gold) jumps up in class after an easy maiden win.

7 51/2 furlongs, purse $9,350, 3-year-olds and up, WCL $7,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Surprise Sale I Enriquez7/5122
2Hard Slider L Mawing3120
5Big Bad Brown E Kubinova5/2120
3Carl Command L Gonzalez6120
4Southfork Pegasus F Valdez8120

Surprise Sale looks like he can handle the slight jump up in class after winning his last race and getting claimed. Hard Slider did nothing in Phoenix after being reclaimed by owners who had lost him, but returns to Emerald, where he has had good success. Big Bad Brown has won six times in 15 starts at Emerald.

8 51/2 furlongs, purse $18,900, 3-year-olds and up, AOC $25,000
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
1Country Rules J Zunino5/2121
4Belt R Bowen2124
2Prayer for Da Bric I Enriquez7/2124
3Perfect Night J Whitaker5121
5Atta Boy Lucky L Camacho-Flores5124
6So Legit J Gutierrez8121

Country Rules faced a really tough group in his last race but should do much better against this field. Belt is coming off a nice win. Prayer for Da Bric looked great in winning his Emerald debut.

9 51/2 furlongs, purse $5,300, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $2,500
PPHorseJockeyLineWt.
2Opening Buzz F Valdez9/2119
5Supreme Ballerina R Bowen7/5123
1Kiss Em R Richard7/2119
3B B's Quick Action E Kubinova12119
4Goin Out Tonite P Fernandez8119
6Brats Brat L Camacho-Flores10119
7Reliable Ema I Enriquez6s119

Opening Buzz can win if it’s a fast track. Supreme Ballerina will likely be heavily favored after a nice win. Kiss Em should improve in her second race after a 20-month layoff.

BEST BET: Country Rules.
