Saturday

First race: 2 p.m.

1 6 furlongs, purse $5,975, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $4,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Just Zoom Will Do I Enriquez 6/5 124
1 Kinzie's King C Papineau 9/2 124
4 Let's Top It Off R Bowen 5 124
3 News Beat J Matias 4 124
5 Crescent Bar J Gutierrez 5 124
6 Stolen Goldfire J Samuels 12 124
Just Zoom Will Do should be too fast and too good for this group, but you have to wonder why he wasn't moved up in class after being claimed for $4,000 out of his last race. Kinzie's King has been second in both of his starts this year, but was no match against the top pick in his last race. Let's Top It Off has had success at Emerald and has been working out well for his first start of the year.
2 5 ½ furlongs, purse $8,925, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, maiden claiming $12,500/$10,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
6 Ms. Sutherland Sanguinetti 3 123
8 Cheese J Gutierrez 7/2 117
1 House of Hope I Enriquez 4 117
2 Bekahs a Hero R Richard 6 117
3 Shadow Princess C Papineau 10 117
4 Nobluffjustgo J Matias 5 117
5 Corla R Bowen 6 117
7 Out Dreamn Richs E Kubinova 15 120

Ms. Sutherland finished third among 12 on the turf in her career debut in September. That race was against much better at Arlington Park outside Chicago. She has been working out well, so it seems like running on dirt will be no issue. Cheese has been working out well for her debut, and it helps that she has a top trainer (Jim Penney) and the leading rider (Juan Gutierrez). House of Hope will be rallying late.

3 6 furlongs, purse $6,825, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $5,000/$4,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
4 Semele R Richard 5/2 116
2 Pretty Darn Good Camacho-Flrs 5 119
1 Hardbody D Lopez 2 123
3 Forty Something J Gutierrez 6 119
5 Foolish Miss N Chaves 10 119
6 Gee Mimi I Enriquez 6 119
7 Bella Angelina J Whitaker 8 116

Semele should improve in her second start of the year. Pretty Darn Good should be ready for her best race in her third try after a long layoff. It would be no surprise if the winner is Hardbody, and she might be favored.

4 5 ½ furlongs, purse $5,675, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $3,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
7 Boundtogetbusy R Bowen 7/2 124
5 Just Say It Sanguinetti 3 124
6 Memphis Mobster D Lopez 5/2 124
1 Send Silver C Papineau 5 124
2 My Mans No Lady J Gutierrez 9/2 124
3 A K Racer E Kubinova 6 124
4 Spirit Bear J Samuels 20 124
8 The Bien's Gift D Hoonan 8 124
Boundtogetbusy was doomed by a poor beginning in his last race and flopped as the 4-5 favorite. He can make amends with a better start. Just Say It has been in the money in 32 of 41 career starts, a remarkable mark. Memphis Mobster is coming off a big win.
5 6 ½ furlongs, purse $5,675, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $3,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Itsafineredwine C Papineau 7/2 124
5 Immigration J Whitaker 9/2 124
1 Hillbilly Cadillac J Matias 5 124
3 Ricky Ricky Camacho-Flrs 15 124
4 R J's Prospect Sanguinetti 4 124
6 Orlando Xpress R Richard 5/2 124
7 Defend Liberty I Enriquez 12 124
8 Swiss Lightning R Bowen 8 124
Itsafineredwine gets an extra furlong today and that should help him. He could surprise in a very even race. Immigration seldom wins, but often finishes in the money. Hillbilly Cadillac is a threat to lead gate to wire in a race without a lot of early speed.
6 6 furlongs, purse $4,725, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
7 Cruella de Lil J Gutierrez 7/2 123
4 Miss Fun Run Sanguinetti 9/5 117
2 Apple of Sam's Eye I Enriquez 6 123
1 Warren's Rock Art C Doll 20 119
3 Our Pretty Woman D Hoonan 8 119
5 Sovereign Bay Camacho-Flrs 15 119
6 Baquaduck N Chaves 20 119
8 She's Tops D Lopez 10 119
9 Demonaire E Kubinova 4 123
SCRATCHED: A Courting Venture

Cruella de Lil returns to a better distance and this race looks like it will set up well for a closer. Miss Fun Run beat the top pick in her last race while finishing second as the 3-10 favorite. Apple of Sam's Eye has been in the money in 13 of 18 career starts.

7 5 ½ furlongs, purse $9,350, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
4 Max Cooper J Gutierrez 3 124
1 Majorca Gold R Bowen 7/2 120
2 Exchng Traded Fnds R Richard 5/2 120
3 Chu and I D Lopez 4 120
5 Ghost Reign J Samuels 15 120
6 Snow On the River I Enriquez 6 120
7 Chaching Pete L Zacherle 8 120
Max Cooper was an easy winner at this level in his last race. Majorca Gold fits well here, but was scratched by the veterinarian for a race on May 12. Exchng Traded Fnds takes a step up in class after an easy win.
8 6 furlongs, purse $14,375, 3-year-olds and up, WCL $25,000/$22,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
6 I Keep Saying I Enriquez 9/5 124
4 Havanna Red J Gutierrez 5/2 121
1 Brock Says D Lopez 9/2 124
2 Leadership J Whitaker 8 121
3 Fist Full of Green E Kubinova 12 121
5 Sandys Diamond J Matias 3 124
I Keep Saying finished first in his last race, but was disqualified and placed second. He might get an easy early lead against this group. Havana Red has a good chance if he's ready for his first race since August. Brock Says jumps up in class after a strong second-place finish.
9 6 ½ furlongs, purse $5,350, 3-year-olds and up, maiden claiming $5,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
5 M Two Forty Sanguinetti 8/5 124
3 Murray the Cop E Kubinova 3 124
4 Maniacal Passion J Gutierrez 6 124
1 Salsa Boy I Enriquez 10 118
2 I'm Still Owen M Hagerty 20 118
6 Shame the Devil J Matias 10 118
7 Jimmyolson C Papineau 12 118
8 Tahoe's Prize D Lopez 10 118
SCRATCHED: Donna Sha Lei Lei

M Two Forty was racing against much better in Southern California. Murray the Cop seems to have an aversion to winning, but he has been second three times in 13 starts. Maniacal Passion has finished third in half of his 10 starts.

BEST BET: Max Cooper.
