EVERETT — The Everett Silvertips and Washington Stealth are teaming up to help local youth hockey and lacrosse programs with the inaugural Comcast Arena Classic benefit lacrosse game at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at Comcast Arena.

The youth sports benefit game — a lacrosse matchup — will mix Silvertips and Stealth players together and then divide them into two teams.

• The Washington men's golf trio of Chris Williams, Cheng-Tsung Pan and Trevor Simsby were among 27 collegiate golfers named to the Ben Hogan Award watch list.

The most prestigious award in men's college golf, the Ben Hogan Award is presented annually to the top men's NCAA Division I, II or III, NAIA or NJCAA college golfer taking into account all collegiate and amateur competitions during the past 12-month period.

• Washington State freshman rower Nicole Hare has been named the Junior Female Sculler of the Year by Rowing Canada Aviron. Hare is a native of Calgary, Alberta.

• Alaska Anchorage guard Alli Madison of Kennedy High School was chosen as GNAC women's basketball player of the week.
