First three horses listed in each

race in order of predicted finish.

August 26

First race: 2 p.m.

1 1-1/16 miles, purse $7,450, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Ontheshadyside L Mawing 8/5 124
3 Big Bad Jim J Zunino 3 124
5 Maltese Pins E Kubinova 5/2 113
1 Tenatious Spirit D Hoonan 12 118
4 Hip Hop City R Bowen 7/2 124
Ontheshadyside was scratched out of a race Saturday to run in this. He hasn't run this far, but he did run a nice race at a mile last year. Big Bad Jim drops in class and gets a new rider. Maltese Pins drops in claiming price, but the 3-year-old is facing older horses for just the second time.
2 5 ½ furlongs, purse $6,725, 2-year-olds, maiden claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
6 Rhinghals J Whitaker 2 118
2 Shannon Marie L Mawing 5/2 115
4 Wingman Willy J Rosales 7/2 118
1 Two o'Clock Draw Antongeorgi 3 118
3 K P Brilly R Bowen 10 118
5 Gidappy Camacho-Flrs 10 118
Rhinghals drops in class and won't need to improve much to win. Shannon Marie takes an even bigger drop in class, running for a claiming price for the first time. Wingman Willy, who sold for $17,000 as a yearling, was third as the 6-5 favorite at this level in his last race.
3 5 ½ furlongs, purse $9,975, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, maiden claiming $15,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Sweet Sara Brown D Hoonan 5/2 117
2 She's My Favorite J Matias 3 117
6 Chromatose E Kubinova 4 118
1 Milieux L Mawing 9/2 117
4 Tesio's Theory J Zunino 15 123
5 Nothin Like a Dame R Bowen 7/2 117
Sweet Sara Brown had a bad start and ran fifth as the odds-on favorite in her last race. She gets a jockey switch and can rebound with a better beginning. She's My Favorite has two seconds and two thirds in six starts, but has never been closer than 3 ¾ lengths at the finish. Chromatose has been third in six of 11 career starts.
4 6 furlongs, purse $5,350, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, maiden claiming $5,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Lady in Silk E Kubinova 2 112
5 On Line Sweetie R Bowen 6 123
1 Goin Out Tonite Camacho-Flrs 9/5 117
2 Moon Girl L. V. J Zunino 9/2 117
4 Mendel's Law D Hoonan 15 123
6 Kamilche Ruby Rose L Mawing 6 117
Lady in Silk gets a shorter distance after faltering badly at a mile, and she might have the most early speed. She gets a slight nod in a tough handicapping race because the field is so weak. On Line Sweetie did nothing in her Emerald debut and has finished in the money just once in 15 starts, but her races in Northern California indicate she should be competitive. Goin Out Tonite shortens up, and it would be no surprise if she won.
5 1 mile, purse $7,450, 3-year-olds, fillies, claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
5 All the Way In L Mawing 8/5 122
1 Semele R Bowen 5/2 122
4 Grab the Goods J Matias 7/2 122
2 De la Luna E Kubinova 6 117
3 Get Well J Whitaker 5 122
6 Cruella de Lil J Zunino 10 122
All the Way In drops into a winning spot. He has been facing winners, while some of the top contenders are coming off maiden wins, including Semele, who might like racing a mile for the first time. Grab the Goods just finished second in a similar race.
6 6 ½ furlongs, purse $4,725, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
6 Don't Be Coy Roy R Bowen 9/2 118
4 Gotta Get Even J Rosales 5/2 124
7 Hillbilly Cadillac J Matias 7/2 124
1 Seventeenmiledrive Camacho-Flrs 8 124
2 Guzzlingin Antongeorgi 4 124
3 Reggiano D Hoonan 10 121
5 Glitterville C Doll 20 121
8 Curvitude J Gutierrez 5 124
Don't Be Coy Roy was second as the favorite at this level in his last race. He ran in a stakes race here in late June, so the drop in class has been dramatic. Gotta Get Even is in good form and is tough at this level. Hillbilly Cadillac also has a chance in a race where the top three picks are interchangeable.
7 6 furlongs, purse $5,675, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $4,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
5 Gentleman's Red J Gutierrez 9/5 114
4 Footnotedisclosure L Mawing 2 114
2 Cahill's Affair D Hoonan 4 117
1 Roxo R Bowen 5 123
3 Cheeza Kay Camacho-Flrs 12 120
6 Just Smile 'n Wave E Kubinova 20 115
7 Kaskadian Kutie Antongeorgi 10 120
Gentleman's Red will likely be a heavy favorite, but she looks very good against this group. Footnotedisclosure lost by a nose in his last race, and there seems to be a big dropoff after the top two. Cahill's Affair could rebound in her second race against winners.
8 6 ½ furlongs, purse $15,850, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $25,000/$22,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
5 Seventyprcentcocoa L Mawing 3 123
3 Perfect Pie J Whitaker 7/2 123
1 Include the Baby J Gutierrez 2 123
2 Tweetie Pie Antongeorgi 6 119
4 Mum's Joke J Matias 4 121
6 Maggie's Special E Kubinova 6 118
Seventyprcentcocoa returns to the level she won at two races ago. Perfect Pie is almost always in the money the past couple of years. Include the Baby has two wins and a second in three starts this year.
9 6 furlongs, purse $19,950, 3-year-olds, fillies, AOC $32,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Talk to My Lawyer J Whitaker 3 121
1 Lady Hokulea J Gutierrez 7/2 119
5 She's a Time Bomb Antongeorgi 2 121
2 Lady Vivien L Mawing 4 121
4 Lady Dakota Camacho-Flrs 5 121
6 Jewel S. J Rosales 6 121
Talk to My Lawyer, winner of last year's Gottstein Futurity, the track's top race for 2-year-olds, runs for a claiming price for the first time, as does Lady Hokulea. She's a Time Bomb returns to Emerald after a failed try on turf in Northern California.
10 5 ½ furlongs, purse $5,675, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $3,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Silver Sneakers J Zunino 5/2 124
1 Country Square J Whitaker 5 121
3 Cresent McGain R Bowen 3 124
4 Im Pure Brass J Gutierrez 4 121
5 Sharper Knight L Mawing 7/2 115
6 Buds a Flyin Camacho-Flrs 5 121
Silver Sneakers should be too good for this group after finishing second to a tough horse. Country Square is in solid form, as is Crescent McGain.

Best bet: Gentleman's Red
