First three horses listed in each

race in order of predicted finish.

August 24

First race: 6:15 p.m.

1 4 ½ furlongs, purse $6,725, 2-year-old, fillies, maiden claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Ugottmoneyhoney J Rosales 7-2 117
5 I'm a Little Kinky R Bowen 5-2 117
6 Tebowmania D Hoonan 4 117
1 She's a Cruiser Camacho-Flrs 5 117
2 Addy's Caddy E Kubinova 9-2 112
4 Miss Atty C Doll 10 117
7 Johanna R. N. J Zunino 8 117
Ugotthemoneyhoney has been working out well for her debut for leading trainer Frank Lucarelli, but the low-percentage jockey is a bit of a concern. I'm a Little Kinky has some early speed and was third in her last race as the 9-10 favorite. Tebowmania is making her debut and had a nice workout from the gate on July 28.
2 1 mile, purse $5,675, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $3,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Catherine Z's Hope R Bowen 7-2 123
6 E'volet J Gutierrez 2 123
4 Lilly's a Jewel D Hoonan 10 120
1 Mymothermarge L Mawing 4 120
2 Famous Jessica E Kubinova 5 112
5 Roxy Skylar Camacho-Flrs 6 120
7 Allison Ridge J Matias 10 123
Catherine Z's Hope has never finished out of the money in nine career races at this distance, and new trainer Joe Toye does well with horses in their first race off a claim. E'volet will likely be a heavy favorite, and deservedly so. Lilly's a Jewel drops in class again and is still looking to regain last year's solid form.
3 5 ½ furlongs, purse $8,925, 2-year-old, fillies, maiden claiming $12,500/$10,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Stylish Margin J Gutierrez 2 117
1 Go Jackie Go L Mawing 3 117
5 Stella's Lionheart R Bowen 4 117
3 Cavealina Colors Camacho-Flrs 10 117
4 Dakota Demon J Zunino 12 117
6 Sheza Silver Moon D Hoonan 5-2 117
Stylish Margin gets leading jockey Juan Gutierrez and takes a big step down in class. Go Jackie Go also drops in class, and gets a rider switch to Leslie Mawing, last year's leading rider who is second this year. Stella's Lionheart was second at this level two races ago.
4 6 ½ furlongs, purse $5,350, 3-year-olds and up, maiden claiming $5,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
1 Chupetes J Gutierrez 5-2 124
2 Our Woody E Kubinova 4 119
5 Crescent Bar J Matias 7-2 118
3 T W Is Flying Now D Hoonan 8 118
4 Bid for Pride R Bowen 6 124
6 Kyle J. Antongeorgi 8 124
7 Got Pix'd L Mawing 10 118
8 Gold Chip Camacho-Flrs 5 124
Chupetes cuts back in distance and Gutierrez stays aboard after he lost as the 7-10 favorite. Our Woody hasn't won in 20 starts, but he has been second seven times. Crescent Bar was third as the 8-5 favorite in a similar race in his last start.
5 6 furlongs, purse $11,650, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $12,500/$10,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Marvin's Magic E Kubinova 3 119
3 Dare Me Devil J Zunino 5-2 124
4 Hard Slider L Mawing 9-5 124
1 Advancement J Whitaker 5 124
5 Rockmystar Antongeorgi 6 124
Marvin's Magic is dangerous when he gets a clear early lead, and he appears the fastest in this field. Dare Me Devil is on a roll, winning twice before finishing third against a tough group at a higher level. Hard Slider would also be no surprise, as the top three are evenly matched.
6 1 mile, purse $11,650, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $12,500/$10,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
4 Mr. Mad Max D Hoonan 7-2 120
2 Ugottabcatty J Matias 5-2 120
3 Zagreus J Gutierrez 3 124
1 Touch the Sun E Kubinova 5 112
5 Seven Torrents Antongeorgi 4 120
There should be a lot of early speed to set up the late kick of Mr. Mad Max. Ugottabcatty returns to a better distance and beat the top pick two races ago. Zagreus is in top form, but this is a big jump up in class.
7 1 mile, purse $4,400, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
1 James E Kubinova 15 116
2 Bebe Chrissy J Matias 2 115
3 Come Back Karma D Hoonan 8 118
4 Prospectorov J Rosales 10 124
5 Awesome Ryan L Mawing 8 118
6 Krain Corner J Zunino 7-2 124
7 Evil Urges R Bowen 3 121
8 Taneum Canyon J Whitaker 12 121
Bebe Chrissy can win this with a similar effort to his last two starts, when he was second. Evil Urges has been second or third in half of his 22 career starts (with just one win). Krain Corner looked good breaking his maiden in his last race, but these type of horses seldom win two straight.

Best bet: Mr. Mad Max
