First race: 2 p.m.

1 1-1/16 miles, purse $4,725, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
6 Musical Trick J Gutierrez 3 124
4 Pasta Time E Kubinova 5 119
1 Armed Service Camacho-Flrs 7/2 124
2 Victory Knock J Whitaker 8 124
3 Game Emperor L Mawing 5/2 124
5 Givajunior Mint D Hoonan 9/2 124

Musical Trick was dueled into submission in his last race, but there isn't much early speed to contend with today. Pasta Time returns to a route, where he is more effective. Armed Service has one win in 28 starts at Emerald Downs, but he does have five seconds and six thirds.

2 5 ½ furlongs, purse $13,225, 2-year-olds, maiden claiming $25,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Orcas Gold L Mawing 8 118
5 My Boy Butch G Mitchell 5/2 118
6 Rhinghals J Whitaker 4 118
1 Back to Wine J Matias 12 118
2 Kissing Ruby Camacho-Flrs 3 115
4 Cat Mon Blue R Bowen 6 118
7 Winter Sunshine J Gutierrez 9/2 118
SCRATCHED: Harbor Star

Orcas Gold lost all chance at the start in his career debut and now drops into maiden claiming company. It's a good sign that jockey Leslie Mawing stays aboard for trainer Doris Harwood, who does good work with 2-year-olds. My Boy Butch was claimed for $12,500 out of his last race, when he finished second. The third-place horse in that race, Gilmore, won his next race. Rhinghals finished third in his only race.

3 6 ½ furlongs, purse $17,850, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, maiden optional claiming $20,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
7 Lady Vivien W Antongeorgi III 9/5 117
5 Meant to Be Mia J Gutierrez 5/2 123
1 Swiss Charm E Kubinova 4 118
2 Donna Sha Lei Lei L Mawing 6 117
3 Silly Streak D Hoonan 8 117
4 Tesio's Theory J Rosales 20 123
6 Sechura Camacho-Flrs 6 117
Lady Vivien is still a maiden after eight races, but she has a great chance today to finally win. Meant to Be Mia has been working out great for her Emerald debut after finishing fourth in her only race, in May at Golden Gate Fields in Northern California. Swiss Charm has finished second or third eight times in 17 starts, but is still looking for her first win.
4 6 furlongs, purse $5,675, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $3,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Mufaajy L Mawing 5/2 121
5 Itsafineredwine E Kubinova 6 116
4 Yakutat R Bowen 3 121
1 Royal Shrine J Gutierrez 6 121
2 Marquetching G Mitchell 7/2 121
6 D Devil J Zunino 6 121
SCRATCHED: Win Photos Will Do

Mufaajy is extremely consistent, and this race could set up well for his closing style. Itsafineredwine will also be rallying late. Marquetching beat the top pick in his last race, but will face pace pressure from Yakutat.

5 1 mile, purse $7,450, 3-year-olds, claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Le Samouri J Gutierrez 6/5 122
1 Sentimento L Mawing 9/2 122
7 Cardinals Gold J Whitaker 4 122
2 Courtabella W Antongeorgi III 6 122
4 Lookin At Gold E Kubinova 6 117
5 Deadwood Sage Camacho-Flrs 20 119
6 Come Back Karma D Hoonan 15 119
Le Samouri will be well bet and has a good chance to lead gate-to-wire. Sentimento should improve in his second try against winners. Cardinals Gold has been in the money in 9 of 14 starts.
6 6 furlongs, purse $4,725, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
6 Merrytagio J Rosales 5/2 123
4 Midknight Matty L Mawing 5 120
2 Black 'n Silver R Bowen 3 114
1 Warren's Rock Art D Hoonan 5 120
3 Fiesty Lass G Mitchell 8 123
5 Kookie Game J Zunino 12 120
7 Angel Unaware E Kubinova 7/2 115

Merrytagio has a win and three seconds in four starts at the meet. She needs a decent early pace to set up her closing kick. Midknight Matty cuts back to a distance where she has been in the money in 7 of 12 starts. Black 'n Silver has been off a month with just one workout in between, but she fits well with this group.

7 6 ½ furlongs, purse $21,000, 3-year-olds and up, AOC $40,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
5 Jebrica J Gutierrez 9/5 119
4 Posse Power L Mawing 7/2 119
3 Assessment J Whitaker 5/2 119
1 Saratoga Boot W Antongeorgi III 2 122
2 Goggles McCoy J Rosales 15 119
Jebrica took a step back in the Budweiser Handicap, but he is a talented horse and can rebound here. Posse Power was third in last year's Longacres Mile, and he makes his second start after a long layoff. Assessment, an 8-year-old who won the 2009 Longacres Mile, makes his yearly debut.
8 1 mile, purse $7,775, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 E'volet J Gutierrez 3 123
6 Wings of Pegasus G Mitchell 5 123
3 La Midnite Classic L Mawing 2 123
1 Canadia W Antongeorgi III 9/2 123
4 Famous Jessica E Kubinova 7/2 112
5 Mariah's Juke Box J Rosales 10 120

E'volet was a sharp winner nine days ago and can handle the extra distance. Wings of Pegasus will be closing late. La Midnite Classic is in top form, but she has never raced this far.

BEST BET: Jebrica
