1 Our Woody E Kubinova 3 119
2 Restless Gold L Mawing 4 118
3 Crescent Bar J Matias 7/2 118
5 Krain Corner J Zunino 5 124
6 Kasparone J Rosales 10 124
Spending has had just three races, and most of the other top contenders in here are longtime maidens. Our Woody had a break in training after losing by just a head in his 18th start in late May. He has an edge in speed figures, but he obviously lacks the will to win. Restless Gold should be near the lead in a race void of early speed, but he has been no better than third in 10 career starts.
2 5 ½ furlongs, purse $6,725, 3-year-old, maiden claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Stormin' Bubsy G Mitchell 3 122
6 Tekela Reserve J Gutierrez 2 122
5 What's the Plan E Kubinova 4 117
1 Baqueros Opinion J Rosales 12 122
2 Mr. Top Kat R Bowen 12 122
4 Let's Top It Off Antongeorgi 5/2 122
7 Soaring Like Eagle J Zunino 15 122
Stormin' Bubsy ran a solid second in his first race here after facing much better in two starts in Southern California. Tekela Reserve returns from Portland, where he was second in his last race and 8 lengths clear of the third-place horse. Eliska Kubinova is back aboard What's the Plan. Two races ago, they lost by a nose.
3 6 ½ furlongs, purse $8,925, 3-year-olds and up, maiden claiming $12,500/$10,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Maniacal Passion J Matias 3 118
3 Popular Pick L Mawing 5/2 118
5 Fist Full of Green G Mitchell 4 118
1 Layover in Seattle J Gutierrez 9/2 118
4 Indy Time E Kubinova 7/2 113
6 Nowlookatme R Bowen 10 118
Maniacal Passion was in over his head while running in a stakes race in his last start. This should be a winning level, and he cuts back in distance. Popular Pick has been second in both career starts. Fist Full of Green has been working out well for his career debut.
4 5 ½ furlongs, purse $4,400, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Freedomslastknight J Matias 3 115
4 Molto C Doll 8 124
7 Caty Wampus J Zunino 6 124
1 Double Bluff J Rosales 10 124
2 Sharper Knight L Mawing 9/2 115
5 Snooper Dauper Camacho-Flrs 4 115
6 Outshout E Kubinova 7/2 116
8 Enrollment R Bowen 12 121
Freedomslastknight ran a clunker in his last race, but drops into a great spot. Molto has good early speed and looks pretty good in here if you ignore his last race, a failed effort at Hastings Park in Vancouver, B.C. Caty Wampus is unlikely to win, but he can rally for a spot in the trifecta.
5 1 mile, purse $7,450, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $5,000/$4,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Lilly's a Jewel E Kubinova 5 114
3 Tullamore Dew J Matias 3 119
1 Zippin E L Mawing 2 119
4 Have'n a Wild Time Antongeorgi 6 116
5 Sun City G Mitchell 5/2 123
6 Hispania J Gutierrez 8 119
Lilly's a Jewel can rebound from a rare poor race at this distance with the drop in class. Tullamore Dew nearly went gate to wire in her first try at a mile in her last race, but was nipped right at the end. Zippin E jumps up in class after her third win at the meet. She also has a solid chance to win in an evenly matched field where almost any horse winning would not be a surprise.
6 6 ½ furlongs, purse $18,900, 3-year-old, AOC $25,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Run Leyton Run R Bowen 3 122
5 Brudda Clyde G Mitchell 5/2 122
3 War Wizard Antongeorgi 4 122
1 Faster Than Duke L Mawing 8 118
4 Tough Road Ahead E Kubinova 9/2 117
6 I Keep Saying J Gutierrez 7/2 122
Run Leyton Run was awesome, beating $20,000 claimers in his last race, and is 2 for 2 to begin his career. Brudda Clyde is a closer in a race full of early speed, so this should set up well for him. War Wizard couldn't hold off talented Italian Boy in his last race after setting some amazingly fast early fractions.
7 1-1/16 miles, purse $4,400, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Taphar J Matias 5 124
4 Mel and Al Antongeorgi 5/2 118
3 J. T. Rocks R Bowen 4 121
1 Awesome Toccet C Doll 8 121
5 Bebe Chrissy G Mitchell 9/2 115
6 Taneum Canyon J Whitaker 3 121
Scratched: Play for Double

Taphar might get an easy lead in a race without a lot of speed. Mel and Al fits wellwith this group if you throw out his last race. J.T. Rocks could fill out the trifecta at a decent price.

Best bet: Stormin' Bubsy
