The Everett Silvertips acquired the rights to 20-year-old goaltender Brandon Anderson and a fifth-round pick in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft from the Brandon Wheat Kings in exchange for 1995-born prospect Geordie Maguire on Monday.

Anderson is signed to an NHL contract with the Washington Capitals. A veteran of 138 career WHL games, Anderson spent most of the 2011-12 season with Brandon after an October trade from Lethbridge. In 37 games last season, he was 15-17-1-2 with a 3.92 goals-against average and .890 saves percentage.
