Saturday

First race: 2 p.m.

1 6 furlongs, purse $9,975, 3-year-olds, fillies, claiming $12,500/$10,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Jadey Baby L Mawing 8/5 121
4 Reliable Ema E Kubinova 7/2 116
2 Bartab J Whitaker 4 121
1 Five Horizons G Mitchell 9/2 121
5 Wild Chica W Antongrgi 3 118
Jadey Baby was racing well at Emerald Downs, then was soundly beaten two weeks ago at Hastings in Vancouver, B.C. She should return to her good form here. Reliable Ema takes a big drop in class. She was claimed for $20,000 in her career debut, which she won, but has been uncompetitive against better horses in her past two races. Bartab is usually in the money (7 of 9 races).
2 6 furlongs, purse $7,450, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $5,000/$4,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
5 Touch of Elegance J Whitaker 5/2 119
2 Tasya L Mawing 2 120
4 Ducoti Camacho-Flrs 3 119
1 Roxy Skylar D Hoonan 4 119
3 Fantasyville E Kubinova 5 111

Touch of Elegance won eight times last year. She is winless in four races this year, but she has faced some hot horses. She can regain her winning ways against this group. Tasya couldn't hold off Sun City in her last race, but she finished a clear second. Ducoti is better than her last race indicates (an eighth-place finish).

3 5 ½ furlongs, purse $5,350, 3-year-olds and up, maiden claiming $5,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Tribal Rythum L Mawing 2 124
5 Molto J Gutierrez 9/5 124
7 Spiker E Kubinova 8 119
1 Kasparone M Anderson 15 124
2 Dutch Crown D Hoonan 10 124
4 Our Fair Man R Bowen 10 124
6 Doctor Bruce S. J Zunino 20 118
8 Kid Cabin J Whitaker 10 118
9 Golden Oly J Rosales 20 124
Tribal Rythum has finished second twice in a row as the even-money favorite. He can get the job done today. Molto fits nicely against this group if he can handle the move from synthetic dirt at Golden Gate to real dirt at Emerald. Spiker's best races have been at this distance.
4 5 furlongs, purse $17,850, 2-year-olds, maiden special weight
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
5 Finallygotabentley G Mitchell 6/5 118
1 Music of My Soul L Mawing 7/2 118
7 Meet the New Boss E Kubinova 8 113
2 Sam Jam J Rosales 12 118
3 Private Password M Anderson 12 118
4 Mike Man's Gold J Matias 10 118
6 Timber Bull D Hoonan 6 118
SCRATCHED: Eagle Harbor

Finallygotabentley finished second in his debut and was well-bet. She has an experience edge over most of this group. Music of My Soul was purchased for $82,000 in last September's Washington yearling sale. She has been working out decently, and trainer Doris Harwood does a good job with 2-year-olds. Meet The New Boss had a nice workout and her trainer, Charles Essex, is having a good meet.

5 6 furlongs, purse $5,675, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $3,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
4 Declan Downs M Anderson 3 124
2 Cresent McGain Camacho-Flrs 5/2 124
1 Prince Giddyup L Mawing 5 124
3 Summer Snow R Bowen 10 124
5 Irish Harmony D Hoonan 12 124
6 Yakutat W Antongrgi 4 124
7 Revoluta E Kubinova 15 119
SCRATCHED: Ringo's Golf, Itsafineredwine

Declan Downs is overdue for a win, with three seconds and a third in his last four starts. He rarely runs a bad race. Crescent McGain cuts back in distance after a good third despite a tough trip in his last race. Prince Giddyup takes a plunge in class and might wake up.

6 1 mile, purse $11,650, 3-year-olds, fillies, claiming $12,500/$10,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
1 Famous Jessica E Kubinova 7/2 116
5 All the Way In L Mawing 5/2 117
6 Whiskey Miner Camacho-Flrs 4 115
2 Smart Code D Hoonan 6 117
3 Stephiano W Antongrgi 6 117
4 Drawing Breath J Matias 3 115
Famous Jessica, who comes in off an impressive win at this level, has been in the money in all seven of her career starts. All the Way In has been racing in Northern California for trainer Tim McCanna, and the horse won by 8 lengths the last time she moved off the turf, just as she will be doing in this race. Whiskey Miner jumps up in class after winning two straight, both at this distance.
7 1 mile, purse $9,350, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Codys a Bobcat L Mawing 4 120
4 Dynamalt J Gutierrez 5 122
6 Swiss Exploit E Kubinova 3 117
1 Who's Your Next Ex W Antongrgi 5/2 122
2 Touch the Sun G Mitchell 7/2 120
5 I Am Thor J Rosales 8 120
SCRATCHED: Tapadero

Codys a Bobcat gets his best distance and drops in class, and the race should set up well for a closer like him. Dynamalt is another class-dropping closer in a race full of early speed. Swiss Exploit has won three of five races this year, but is stuck in an outside post.

8 1 mile, purse $14,800, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $20,000/$18,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
6 Rocky's Quest J Gutierrez 7/5 120
3 Mr. Mad Max D Hoonan 6 120
2 Wasserman J Whitaker 9/2 120
1 Free Beer R Bowen 8 118
4 National W Antongrgi 8 122
5 Ugottabcatty G Mitchell 5/2 120
Rocky's Quest has a good chance if he can avoid being too wide on the first turn. Mr. Mad Max takes a drop in class after running fifth against $32,000 claimers. Wasserman, among the most popular horses in state history, is still running hard at age 10.
9 5 furlongs, purse $4,725, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
6 A Courting Venture R Bowen 3 114
5 Tango Search J Gutierrez 9/2 120
2 Mile Easy E Kubinova 4 112
1 Miss Magnability W Antongrgi 5 117
3 Candi's Bridle L Mawing 10 123
4 Just Smile 'n Wave G Mitchell 7/2 120
7 Look At Maddie Go Camacho-Flrs 8 120
8 Mt Peak J Zunino 15 123

A Courting Venture drops in class and looks to have the most early speed. Tango Search was stuck real wide in his last race while finishing fifth in a nine-horse field. Mile Easy gets a soft spot for her first try against winners.

BEST BET: Famous Jessica
