First race: 2 p.m.

1 1 mile, purse $4,500, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
3 Swiss Lightning R Bowen 7/2 124
6 Tobiah's Journey E Kubinova 5/2 117
2 Seventeenmiledrive W Antongrgi 3 122
1 Game Emperor L Mawing 4 120
4 Justanother Bob G Mitchell 9/2 122
5 Story Behind It Camacho-Flrs 10 122
It's hard to separate the top two picks. Swiss Lightning drops back to a level he won at two races ago and is a big threat to lead from gate to wire. Tobiah's Journey did nothing in the slop against a tough group two weeks ago, but this is a much softer field and his previous race was good enough to win this. Seventeenmiledrive has a win and two seconds in his last three starts.
2 1 mile, purse $5,100, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, maiden claiming $5,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Grab the Goods W Antongrgi 9/5 117

6 Windy and Gold C Doll 20 123
7 Plan a Game J Gutierrez 12 123
9 Roses in the Sky J Matias 10 123
Grab the Goods, a $23,000 yearling purchase in 2010, seems set to graduate from the maiden ranks. Elliegant One plunges in class and could wake up against this group. Tempestinateapot gets more distance after a couple of disappointing races.
3 5 furlongs, purse $8,500, 2-year-old, maiden claiming $12,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
4 My Boy Butch J Matias 8 118
6 Bracero W Antongrgi 4 118
9 Luna Tick J Gutierrez 3 118
1 Whiskeyonthehouse Camacho-Flrs 8 118
2 Gilmore D Hoonan 10 118

7 Diamond Peak G Mitchell 8 118
8 Justa Gusta L Mawing 9/2 118
10 Gidappy M Anderson 15 118
My Boy Butch has been working out well and his sire, In Excess, produces horses who are ready to run at first asking (17 pecent first-time winners). Bracero is the only horse in the field who has raced, and he might be much better today with a drop into maiden claiming company. Luna Tick races for Tom Wenzel, who excels with first-time starters, but the outside post is a drawback.
4 6 ½ furlongs, purse $11,500, 3-year-olds and up, maiden claiming $20,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Sharp Focus L Mawing 9/5 124
6 Amazing G. Force W Antongrgi 5/2 118

3 Nowlookatme J Zunino 12 118
4 Pontiaction D Hoonan 8 118
5 Leadership J Whitaker 10 118
7 Indy Time E Kubinova 8 113
Sharp Focus gets a better post after running a strong second when dropping to this level in his last race. Amazing G. Force was running well at the end while finishing third in his career debut. Austincitynights has run two strong races (a second and a third) to begin his career.
5 6 furlongs, purse $5,400, 3-year-olds and up, fillies and mares, claiming $4,000
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
6 La Midnite Classic G Mitchell 8/5 123
1 Miss Jazzie Harbor W Antongrgi 2 123
5 Veazie J Zunino 7/2 123
2 She Just Said So R Bowen 12 117
3 Caller Matty E Kubinova 10 115
4 Gollymzholly D Hoonan 10 120
La Midnite Classic drops into a great spot, and will likely hold on much better against this group. Miss Jazzie Harbor returns to the level she won at two races ago. Veazie tries winners for the first time.
6 5 ½ furlongs, purse $4,500, 3-year-olds and up, WCL $2,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
7 Gold Harbor R Bowen 3 124
4 D Devil J Zunino 5 124
5 Be There Joe J Whitaker 8 124
1 Five Bold Rings L Zacherle 4 124
2 Kuya E Kubinova 6 119
3 Tense Bet M Anderson 15 124
6 Im Pure Brass Camacho-Flrs 8 124
8 Papa's Flyn Angel J Matias 10 124
9 Top Banker Al W Antongrgi 6 124
SCRATCHED: Koala Beach, Royal Shrine, Hi and Goodbye

This is a tough race with a few coming off long layoffs. Gold Harbor ran a dud two weeks ago against much better, but a repeat of his previous two races would likely be enough to win this. The 10-year-old D Devil didn't do much off a layoff in his last race, but he should improve. Be There Joe has good early speed.

7 5 furlongs, purse $25,000, 2-year-old, fillies, NWSS Son of Briartic Stakes
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
1 Kathi's Road W Antongrgi 2 117
3 Supersymmetry J Matias 4 117
5 Valid Vixen Queen D Hoonan 3 117
2 House of Hope J Gutierrez 5/2 117
4 Dakota Demon R Bowen 5 117
SCRATCHED: Go Jackie Go

A tough race as only one horse has raced before. Kathi's Road has been working out well for her debut for Frank Lucarelli, the leading trainer at the meet who has been hot recently. Supersymmetry has been working out well, but her sire, Matty G, produces just 5 percent first-start winners. Valid Vixen Queen has an experience edge and was well-bet while finishing third against maiden claimers.

8 6 ½ furlongs, purse $8,900, 3-year-olds and up, claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
7 Untilifindyou E Kubinova 5/2 115
6 Olympic Lights W Antongrgi 9/2 120
2 Buddy Dave Camacho-Flrs 3 122
1 Winorbegone J Zunino 10 120
3 Contreve R Bowen 5 122
4 Win Photos Will Do L Mawing 6 120
5 Zagreus J Gutierrez 5 120
Untilifindyou drops into a level where he is extremely tough. Olympic Lights has won 13 times at Emerald, but is 0 for 5 this season. He was claimed for this price out of his last race and trainer Blaine Wright has won with three of his last four starters in their first race after being claimed. Buddy Dave has been in the money in 20 of 28 starts at Emerald.
9 5 furlongs, C and G (colts and geldings), purse $25,000, 2-year-old, NWSS Slewdledo Stakes
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
2 Off Harbor Account J Zunino 7/2 118
1 He's Not Bluffin J Gutierrez 3 118
4 Master's Bluff R Bowen 5/2 118
3 Willy B Gold L Zacherle 6 118
5 Harbor Star J Whitaker 10 118
6 Galway Guinness E Kubinova 4 118
Off Harbor Account had a tough trip from an outside post in his debut. He could take a big step forward from a much better post. He's Not Bluffin had a nice workout June 17, and trainer Jim Penney does a good job with 2-year-olds. Master's Bluff was a good third in a nine-horse field at 27-1 in his debut.
10 6 furlongs, purse $6,400, 3-year-old, fillies, maiden claiming $7,500
PP Horse Jockey Line Wt.
5 Starlight Gem W Antongrgi 2 121
1 Stormy Tina G Mitchell 3 121
2 Kamilche Ruby Rose R Bowen 7/2 121
3 Underfunded Fun J Gutierrez 12 121
4 It's in the Soul Camacho-Flrs 9/2 121
6 Brats Brat D Hoonan 5 121
SCRATCHED: So Let It Bwritten

Starlight Gem drops in class after she faded badly when bumped at the start. Stormy Tina makes her career debut for trainer Tom Wenzel, who has been on a roll. Kamilche Ruby Rose has finished second in her two career races.

BEST BET: La Midnite Classic
