Washington's Jennifer Yang birdied two of the final three holes to complete a rally and beat Lee Lopez in the first round of match play Wednesday at the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship in Neshanic Station, N.J.

Yang trailed by one hole through 15 at Neshanic Valley Golf Course, but birdied Nos. 16 and 18 to earn a 1-up decision over Lopez, who will be a senior at UCLA this fall.

• Washington freshman Cheng-Tsung Pan was named to the PING All-America second team.

• Four-time defending champion Leslie Folsom and Sue Ursino advanced to the finals of the Seattle Women's Golf Association City Championship at The Plateau Club in Sammamish.

Folsom defeated Rose Crowe 6 and 4. Ursino beat Cassie McKinley 2 and 1.

• Washington's Brittany Tallman won 5 and 4 over Chelsey Lind of Oregon State during the first round of match play at the Women's Oregon Amateur Championship at Tualatin Country Club.

• Washington will appear on 14 volleyball broadcasts during the inaugural Pac-12 Network schedule this fall. Washington will make its debut on the network on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m., when Washington State visits Seattle for the Pac-12 opener for both teams.
