The 86th Washington State Men's Amateur golf championship, which begins Tuesday at Eagles Pride Golf Club at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, features 11 of the top 20 players from last year.
The field includes Dylan Goodwin of Mukilteo, who finished third in 2011, and Jeremy Wendelken of Sammamish, who won the event in 2010 and finished tied for seventh last year.
Also in the field this week is Washington junior Chris Williams, who will look to add to his historic amateur career that includes a Walker Cup appearance and victories at the Pacific Coast Amateur and the Sahalee Players Championship.
Williams, the Huskies' all-time leader in victories, also won the NCAA Southwest Regional title in May.
