Rewind: Live chat with American figure skater Kimmie Meissner
Kimmie Meissner began skating at age six and has gone on to become a world-class skater.
She enjoyed quite a two-year spell on the ice in 2006-07. As a 16-year-old, she was the youngest American athlete on the 2006 Olympic team and finished sixth overall in Turin, Italy. A month later, she won the world championship.
The following year, Meissner was crowned the 2007 U.S. national champion and 2007 Four Continents champion.
