NBA players and owners have reached a tentative labor agreement, which will send the players back to work soon. But it means the H206 Classic, a charity game organized by Jamal Crawford to be played Dec. 15 at Edmundson Pavilion, has been canceled.

According to the H206 website (www.hoops-206.com) tickets will be refunded by noon Thursday.

Crawford and organizers are looking for possible dates next summer to play the game, according to the website.

Familiar finish for filly at Portland Meadows

New Arrival Time finished second in Monday's seventh race at Portland Meadows — which was nothing new. The 3-year-old maiden filly has finished second 12 times in 15 starts this year. Eight of those second-place finishes came at Emerald Downs, where she also finished third three times this year.

The 12 second-place finishes are the most among the 64,053 Thoroughbreds who have raced in North America in 2011.

New Arrival Time has finished in the runner-up position in her past five starts, including all four of her starts at Portland Meadows. She has never been worse than third in her 17-start career, which includes two races last year at Emerald Downs — second- and third-place finishes.

Conference honors

The Washington volleyball team took two of the three Pac-12 weekly awards following the final week of the season. Jenna Orlandini was named defensive player of the week for the first time, and Krista Vansant earned freshman-of-the-week honors for the third time this season.

• Seattle University women's basketball forward Kacie Sowell and men's basketball forward Eric Wallace were named the College Sports Madness Independent players of the week.
