Updated: Joe Biden spotted in Whistler Village
Posted by Tiffany Campbell
Spotted in Whistler Village today: I crossed paths with Vice President Joe Biden, who was in town on the first official day of the 2010 Olympic Games. He drew a small crowd as moved through town, shaking hands along the way.
More from the Montreal Gazette:
U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden travelled to Whistler to watch the men's ski-jumping event.Biden, who was surrounded by a discreet security detail, sat in the second row, despite the fact that the ski jump is one of America's weakest events and the team receives no public funding.
Biden appeared to be enjoying himself, though. He did the wave, throwing his red-mittened hands up in the air exposing the white maple leaf on his iconic HBC mittens.
Lots more photos here from the Des Moines Register.
