A look inside the Vancouver 2010 press kits
Posted by Stephanie Clary
After first entering the impressive Main Media Centre in Vancouver, journalists are given a pre-loaded backpack. Some things inside are helpful, and some are silly, but all are promotional.
A list of what's inside, and a photo of my favorite part of the press kit, after the jump.
- a digital pedometer with the Olympic and Paralympic symbols
- a guide to the Olympic and Paralympic games, courtesy of Visa
- two packs of extra-strength Cold-FX and a Cold-FX hockey pin (shout-out to Tiffany Campbell's aunt, who swears by this stuff)
- a McDonald's reporter's notebook
- a Richmond Olympic Oval mouse pad
- three packs of Excel gum featuring a photo of Canadian speed skater Denny Morrison
- an Offsetters luggage tag
- a Saputo pin of a cow with skis
- a lanyard pointing to the Government of Canada's media Web site
- a USB flash drive in the shape of the Canadian dollar
- a British Columbia electronic press kit
- and this little piece of inspiration:
