Washington state Republicans propose repeal of sick-leave law
Trust and the Seattle City Council
The bills to repeal Seatte’s sick-leave law are “a violation of trust in the democratic process,” according to Seattle City Councilmember Nick Licata, as quoted in The Seattle Times [“GOP bills take aim at Seattle’s sick-leave law,” NWThursday, Feb. 14].
The number of times the Seattle City Council has engendered mistrust is stunning.
And besides, Mr. Licata, are you calling the Washington state Legislature undemocratic in its processes?
